Press On Tires
At Cook Tire & Service Center we offer a wide range of forklift tires. Forklifts are intended different uses each use requires a special kind of tire. The most common types of press on forklift tires are solid, and polyurethane. Each has its advantages in whatever situation it is intended for. Forklift tires are usually either press-on or standard.
Pneumatic forklift tires are very similar to heavy-duty truck tires. They are filed with air, made of a strong rubber with a thick deep tread to resist wear and tear. Pneumatic tires extend the life of the forklift by providing an air cushion between the forklift and the terrain.
Solid rubber tires are an alternative to pneumatic tires. They will not go flat like pneumatic tires, but they do not provide the air cushions either. They are great for indoor use and light outdoor use. You can get these in a nonskid tire which won't leave unsightly marks all over your warehouse floor.
Polyurethane tires are usually used on indoor forklifts. These tires are great for indoor use because they provide the right amount of traction and have a low rolling resistance. These tires are perfect for use on electric forklifts.
Each forklift tire is made to accommodate these lifts in all different types of applications. Whether it be outdoors on rough rugged terrain, or on the new concrete floor in your warehouse there is a tire made for your application. We offer same day press on service with our mobile press.
